The Department of Theological Studies at SAINT LOUIS UNIVERSITY seeks to appoint a one-year non-tenure-track assistant professor with expertise in South Asian Religious Traditions. The appointment is expected to begin on August 1, 2021.

A PhD in hand is required by the time the appointment begins. Candidates will have an established record of teaching excellence, will carry a 4/3 teaching load, and will be expected to teach a range of undergraduate courses, including an introductory course in Religions of the World and other courses on religions of South Asia and/or its diasporas, including but not limited to histories and practices of Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, and/or indigenous traditions.
