An exciting new venture led by the Centre for Catholic Studies (CCS) and the Department of Theology & Religion at Durham University:
An MA in CATHOLIC THEOLOGY by DISTANCE LEARNING
The MA will begin this coming October. It is designed so that participants can work through material at their own pace, studying equally well in any time zone and in many different life situations, alongside work, ministry, family or caring obligations.
Teachers on the MA include Karen Kilby, Anna Rowlands, Rik Van Nieuwenhove, Paul Murray, Carmody Grey, Billy Crozier and Greg Ryan. We will be offering the following modules:
- Catholic Theology: A Preliminary Tour
- Catholic Social Thought
- The Thought of Thomas Aquinas in Context
- Conceiving Change in Contemporary Catholicism
- Twentieth Century Catholic Theology
- High Medieval Franciscan Theology
The MA is suitable both for those who have studied Theology before and for those who have a background in a related discipline, including for instance History, English, Law or Philosophy.
