Program Manager, Tuohy Center for Interreligious Understanding
John Carroll University
The Program Manager serves as the center of coordination and administrative support for the Tuohy Center for Interreligious Understanding, whose mission is to promote appreciation for and understanding of the diverse religious traditions that shape our world. Reporting to the Tuohy Center Director and housed within the Department of Theology & Religious Studies, the Program Manager staffs an Executive Committee composed of the Tuohy Director, the Breen Chair in Catholic Theology, the Mandel Chair in Jewish Studies, and the Said Nursi Chair in Islamic Studies. Within this collaborative group, the Program Manager will play a key role in implementing the vision of the newly established Center, which represents a reconfiguration of the Walter and Mary Tuohy Chair in Interreligious Studies, first established in 1966. The Tuohy Center seeks to make John Carroll University a regional hub for interreligious engagement—enhancing the overall reputation of the University, the development of creative programs, and the recruitment of new students.
