The Graduate Program in Pastoral Ministries in the College of Arts and Sciences at Santa Clara University seeks candidates for the position of Executive Director of the Graduate Program in Pastoral Ministries (GPPM) to begin Fall 2024. Candidates with expertise in pastoral ministry (any area) and/or practical theology (any area) are strongly preferred. The new Executive Director will be appointed to a Renewable Term Lecturer faculty position whose teaching, professional activity and service duties will be 100% covered by the Executive Director duties. The successful candidate will supervise two full-time staff (a department manager and the Director of the Markey Center for Leadership and Ministry), as well as student interns and student employees. The Director is responsible for developing and executing a strategy that ensures the GPPM’s academic, budgetary, and programmatic goals are met and that all operations are conducted using best industry practices and in compliance with university policies and practices. The Executive Director reports to the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and works closely with the Vice Provost for Graduate Programs. The Executive Director will also be supported by the GPPM Core Faculty.
